As a practising veterinary surgeon for over 20 years, Dr Jim Willshire MRCVS saw first-hand how often a dog’s diet and digestion play a role in their overall wellbeing.

GutKind™ Sprinkle are for dogs fed raw and fresh diets. Raw and fresh diets offer plenty of variety and freshness. Many owners choose them for exactly that reason. However, these diets can sometimes be low in the fermentable fibres that beneficial gut bacteria rely on — especially FOS, which has strong evidence in human nutrition for feeding helpful microbes. 
 
GutKind™ Sprinkle contain a higher level of prebiotics compared to GutKind™ Chew, including FOS, to complement raw and fresh feeding. The powder mixes straight into the food and helps provide a steady source of fermentable fibre to support a balanced microbiome. 
 
The formulation also includes probiotics and postbiotics, but the focus is on providing that extra fibre that raw diets don’t always supply consistently.

Prebiotics (like inulin) are natural fibres that feed the beneficial microbes.They act like selective fertiliser, encouraging the growth of flowers while starving the weeds.
